The purpose of this study is to find out whether people are properly aware of their health status, and to examine the relationship between health behaviors according to the types of health status perception, so that they can meet healthy old age as well as improve their health. Data sources for the 4th 2nd year (2008) of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted from January to December 2008 were used. 4,688 people who participated in the questionnaire and examination were analyzed as final subjects. For the data, using SPSS 18.0, chi-square test was performed for cross-analysis and univariate analysis of objective health status and general characteristics and health behavior according to gender, distribution by type of health status perception, and objective health status according to gender. Logistic regression analysis was performed using meaningful variables as independent variables and health status recognition type divided into correct and false perception groups as dependent variables. The main results of this study are summarized as follows. As a result of examining the actual objective health status according to the subjective health status, the percentage of people who overestimated their health status was the highest, and there were more people who perceived their health status incorrectly than those who correctly perceived it. 2. In the group that perceived subjective health status as good, the objective health status was overestimated by males than females, and as the age increased, in Eup/Myeon districts, marital status was separated, widowed, divorced, and education level decreased. Health was misunderstood and overestimated. 3. In the group that perceived subjective health status as bad, the objective health status tended to underestimate health as the age decreased. recognized and underestimated. 4. As a result of examining health behaviors by health status perception type, the group that perceived subjective health status as good showed significant results in weight control, monthly drinking, experience with depression, and health checkup, and the group that perceived subjective health status as good showed significant results. In the group, there were significant results in current smoking and monthly drinking. 5. Looking at the results of logistic regression analysis using objective health status as a dependent variable in the group that perceived subjective health status as good, the risk of becoming a false perception group that overestimates health was lower in women than in men, compared to those in their 70s. The risk decreased as the age decreased, and the risk increased in married, separated, widowed, and divorced compared to singles, and those with weight control had a higher risk than those without weight control. 6. Looking at the results of logistic regression analysis using objective health status as a dependent variable in the group that perceived subjective health status as bad, it was not statistically significant in all variables except age.
